graduation

2010
My daughter and niece are graduating today-
My daughter from High School
and my niece from Middle School.
June is such an exciting time for students
who
are graduating and moving on
to exciting, new horizons.

When my daughter was born,
my father said he
hoped he would live long enough
to see
her graduate from High School.
Well, he missed it by two years...
but if I know my dad,
he has got
the
first and front row
seat in
HEAVEN
for both events!!

"Go confidently in the direction of your dreams.
Live the life you have imagined."

"Do not go where the path may lead;
go instead where there is no path and leave a trail."
- Ralph Waldo Emerson
"What lies behind us and what lies before us are
tiny matters compared to what lies within us."

which you
can use to change the world."

what has
been learned has been forgotten"

"The larger the island of knowledge,
the longer the shoreline of wonder."

~Ralph W. Sockman
"There are no shortcuts to any place worth going."

is the one at the end of your own arm."
~Fred Dehner"The whole purpose of education is
to
turn mirrors into windows."

"A graduation ceremony is an event where
the commencement speaker tells
thousands of students dressed in identical
caps and gowns that 'individuality'
is the key to success."

Hi Gail! Oh she's done! How exciting! How is she feeling about it? I hope you are doing aokay because I know what a basketcase I'll be when it is Annie's turn! You should have seen me at her Kindergarten graduation! I had trouble seeing a lot because of the tears I was trying to hold back! I am SO not good with change!

Thanks for your sweet note! I think of you often too!!! You are always such an encourager!

Annie's big party is tomorrow so we have been crazy busy doing way more than we should for a six year old party :) But it should be such a fun day! I actually am off to buy the food right now so I better get going...that should be fun with 3 kids in my cart, huh?

Take care!
